MUI denounces Bali Bomb Blasts

The leading Indonesia online media Detik.com reports that the Indonesia Ulama Council (MUI)denounces the bali bomb blast saying that it’s not taught by Islamic teaching as the peaceful religion never teaches nor encourages suicide bombing for whatever reason. and therefore, the inhuman acts cannot be tolerated,” said the Head of MUI Umar Shihab.

Mr. Shihab further said that if the suicide bomber in Bali was a Muslim, the blame should not be pointed out to Islam, as a religion. Rather, it’s the perpetrator as an individual. Likewise, it’s not a correct way to generalise that the barbarious act as the act of Muslims as a whole.
